Seniors -

We are starting our first formal writing piece this week.  You should be researching admission questions or scholarship questions for the colleges in which you plan to apply.

Log in to turnitin.com and get set up for our class.  Our Class ID is 5444326.  The Password is Shakespeare (with a capital S).  Spell it right, or it won't work.

Don't forget to visit Plagiarism.org.  Pay close attention to the FAQ section.  We will use this for  a quiz and activity on Friday.

Juniors -

As you begin working on your essay don't forget to log in to turnitin.com.  We will use this often, so if you create a new password, don't forget it!

All classes use the same password: Shakespeare (with a capital S).  Make sure you spell it correctly!

Seniors - Get ready to think about COLLEGE!!! I know you are just getting settled into Senior Year, but lets think about what is to come.  We need to start looking at college scholarships now.  Where do you want to go next year?  What do you need to get in to college?  How will you pay for it?

Get on Naviance, start Googling, look at all the paperwork you are getting in the mail.  Pick two schools you are set on applying to and find out what kind of essay you need to write for the application.

List your two schools and their questions, and pick one dream school to do the same.

Welcome back!   I hope everyone had a wonderful break, full of summer reading!

To get started on the right foot, I have a created a couple documents for you here.  First, check out the syllabus for your class.  I am teaching both Juniors and Seniors this year, so be sure to download the appropriate document.  Click here for the Junior Syllabus.
